Upon entering the room, the observer seen an upright format video image. The projection shows the dried-out bed of a river inside an artificial-looking hall. The waterlevel of the river is coupled by sensors to the position and the movement of the observer. As the viewer draws nearer to the projection space, the water level in the river rises. The more water is in the river, the more clearly one can see the reflection of letters upon the surface of the water. When standing directly in front of the screen, multiple tracks of letter strings stream towards the viewer. The pictured text shows certain combinations of the letters A, C, G and T – a succession of the nucleotide bases of human DNA, an extract of the human source code.

Die Projektion der Videoinstallation Image.acgt zeigt ein ausgetrocknetes Flussbett im Inneren einer artifiziell wirkenden Halle. Die Projektionsbilder sind durch Sensoren interaktiv mit dem Standort beziehungsweise der Bewegung des/der Betrachters/in gekoppelt und werden somit von diesem/dieser gesteuert. Nähert sich eine Person der Projektion steigt der Wasserspiegel im Videobild. Bei Entfernung sinkt er bis zur völligen Austrocknung. Mit dem Steigen des Wasserstandes wird eine Spiegelung in Form von Buchstaben an der Wasseroberfläche sichtbar. Steht man unmittelbar vor der Projektion, sieht man auf dem vollen Wasserbecken Buchstabenketten, die in mehreren Bahnen auf den/die BetrachterIn zufließen. Der dargestellte Text zeigt bestimmte Kombinationen der Buchstaben A, C, G und T, also eine Abfolge von Nukleotidbasen der menschlichen DNA und somit einen Ausschnitt des Human Source Codes.
